EXIT Advent Calendar: The Missing Hollywood Star: Day 1

 

Scene set -- we're in a deserted Hollywood Studio, everything locked tight, the star is missing....doesn't necessarily mean star as in actor/human but perhaps the christmas star....

These reels are behind door one:

And inside the window itself:

This is zoomed in -- took me a short time to realise the word at the bottom of the stack was CODE and it was showing the order to look....

So, pretty clear, got to stack the reel in order size and that should give us the code:

Here's the stack and you can just about make out three symbols -- Batman, Bird, Star -- which match to the individual reels shown earlier and gives us a code 6-8-4:

...which decoded leads us to another door with the symbols in the right order.

BINGO!

Overall:  Nice that this leads off with something other than riddle cards, that there's quite a bit to do to get to the solve involving the reels and the inside of the room and the day's sheet itself.  Flashlight was essential to properly see the symbols and getting them aligned was tricky, but very satisfying overall.
